RP Log: Brooke/Jackie - WAY WAY BACKDATED >> Who: Jackie Burkhart and Brooke Davis. Where: Dog Beach. When: Monday, September first, nighttime (BACKDATED). Why: Because boys suck. Rating: TBD Status: In progress // Finish In Comments
Jackie was having a pretty amazing time at this party. She arrived angry, and what's the best way to relief one's anger? By getting drunk and kissing lots of boys, of course. Especially if you can spite your anger generating, "make out buddy" who you wish was your boyfriend but consistently claims that he's not in the process! Jackie giggled to herself as she thought of Hyde as her "make out buddy", because really, that's what he was! And it was so ridiculous and totally unfair that he wasn't more than that, because Jackie wanted more, but for once she didn't know how to get more. So she'd just settle for another drink. At this point in the evening, Jackie was really quite plastered. Her speech rather slurred, movements not quite so graceful, and she was prone to laughing about pretty much anything and nothing at all at this point. Still, even in her inebriated state, her mind was still able to register the consequences of that public and loud fight between Brooke and Lucas. It seemed Brooke was having the opposite of Jackie's problem, but that didn't mean Jackie didn't feel for Brooke. Guys were so dumb, and it seemed pretty clear to Jackie that Lucas may have potentially ruined Brooke's night. Which was not cool, because it was Brooke's party and she should be having more fun than anyone.
Deciding to do the only thing that seemed right, Jackie went to look for Brooke to have a little 'girl talk', not truly realizing, of course, that she was in no frame of mind to really have any sort of serious conversation, but that wasn't going to stop her. Of course, finding Brooke might be a little difficult with all these people around, and Jackie didn't have the patience to quietly seek Brooke out in the crowds of partying teenagers. No, shouting her name was obviously a much better method.
"BROOKE!" Jackie called. "BROOKE, BROOOOKE, HEY WHERE ARE YOU?" she called into the crowds. "Has you seen Brooke?" Jackie asked an unfamiliar Forks guy in less than perfect English. He didn't answer her, and instead made and advance towards Jackie "Eeeww! Noo!" Jackie said and pushed Casanova away. She was looking for Brooke, and besides, this guy wasn't nearly good looking enough. "Brooke!!" Jackie called once more when she was away from sleazy Forks boy.
After Lucas's announcement - the very public announcement that it was - Brooke had immediately downed another drink (or three) and proceeded to distract herself by flirting with whatever drunken idiot was near by. She was settling for less, and she knew it, by not giving into Lucas. That didn't matter, however, because Brooke was NOT going to let him hurt her again. If she really was the one for him, he would have realized it before he stuck his tongue down her BEST FRIEND'S throat. Not to mention that SAID FRIEND should have had the decency not to let that happen. Lucas was the first boy that Brooke ever actually cared about, and the betrayal she felt from him was not one she ever wanted to repeat.
When she heard Jackie calling her name she pushed.. whoever it was she was making out with - the name didn't matter - away from her. "Jackieee. I'm over.. THERE!" she slurred, and looked in the general direction of Jackie's voice. The guy whose name she couldn't remember (and wouldn't tomorrow, either), tried to pull her back to him. Brooke exaggerated her stumble purposefully to spill her drink all over him. "Oops," she said wide eyed and innocently. "I'm soooo sorry. I totally didn't mean that! I'm get another one now," and then staggered away before he was done attempting to clean himself up.
"Jackie, OMG, HI!" she exclaimed when she was free of the boy and had managed to find where Jackie was calling her from.
Jackie made her way over to where she heard Brooke's voice. She was hardly being polite as she literally pushed her way through a crowd of people, but she was too drunk to really care, and honestly? Whoever she just whacked and shoved likely wouldn't remember it tomorrow either. Besides the usual cases of not being able to remember the previous night, they would all have bigger problems to deal with in the morning. Like hangovers, and possibly angry parents. It was one of the things Jackie liked best about these sort of parties, you could get away with pretty much anything! Jackie grinned broadly when she saw Brooke.
"Hii Brooke!" Jackie giggled and she had to take a moment to remember why exactly she had been so adamant about finding Brooke in the first place. Jackie took a moment to think, and luckily it came to her. Lucas! Jackie's face was suddenly rather serious, although when she spoke her voice still carried the airy, care-free tone of a girl who had been drinking too much, "Oh my God, Brooke, are you okayy?" she asked and stumbled closer to Brooke, slapping down a sympathetic hand onto the other girl's shoulder. "I heard you and Lucas," she explained and threw her head back, rolling her eyes dramatically. "Whata a...a..." Jackie tried to say and but what came out was a hiccup rather than a word "Ass hole," she managed to get out.
"Ugh don't remind me.." she said matching her friend's eyeroll with her own. "He's suchha jerk!" Brooke exclaimed, in agreement, her eyes narrowing just thinking about it. Lucas Scott had SOME NERVE trying to be all noble white knight to her now. Well it was too late for that and he had no right to mess with her head the way he did. "Can you beeeelieveeehim?" she slurred and found a nice comfortable seat on the sand. The world was spinning a bit faster than usual, and sitting was nice. Much better than standing up.
"He 'as no RIGHT to be all "the one" with me because if he really thought I was THE ONE, then he wouldn't have cheated on me with my.. with my.. with PEYTON of ALL PEOPLE," she said in frustration. "Why are guys such JERKS?" Brooke pouted, and looked around for her jerk to see if he was, perhaps, still there after all. She was certain he had left, and even in her anger, talking about him made her want to see him, which made her even angrier because it only brought to mind how much this was all. his. fault. HIS. Not hers.
Jackie plopped down in the sand next to Brooke, shaking her head. "Completely unbelief-unbe....unbelievable!" Jackie said, clearly starting to have some issues with the slightly larger words of the English language. "Why does guys have to ruin EVERYTHING?" she asked. "Y'know, it's like...it's like you're having a good time and they just have to come stormin' through and ruin it," Jackie sighed.
She turned her head so that she was facing Brooke and nodded. "I know, I know, I don't know," Jackie said, the first two in response to Brooke's proclamation that Lucas had no right to be acting like this, the later 'I don't know' in response to why guys were such jerks. "Guys are just...ass holes. All of them. Good looking ass holes," Jackie said. "I mean, do you like...even know how many times Michael cheated on me??" Jackie asked. "Cos I don't even think I know. And I'd ALWAYS forgive him, you know? Then he'd just do it again with some other skank," Jackie explained. "And the ONE time I kiss another guy, he has the NERVE to get mad at me," Jackie said furiously. "Like seriously? SERIOUSLY? He had NO right to be mad and make me feel bad about it," she ranted. "And then I told him I loved him and I wanted to marry him, you know what he does? He leaves for the entire summer, and doesn't even say goodbye to me!" Jackie said, her eyes narrow and accusing. "He's such an ass hole. Lucas is such an ass hole, Steven Hyde is SUCH an ass hole, they all are."
