Ashley had endured a fair bit of playful, good-natured teasing from Ari, and she was finally forcing herself to admit there might be something to what the other witch was saying. Whatever was between her and Ben was an attraction - and a mutual one at that. So far as she could tell, at any rate. So she felt slightly less bad about using an excuse to make a trip to his room. It was a completely legitimate excuse, as far as any of the professors should be concerned; she was helping a colleague get a good night's sleep.

Carting up a few vials of the potion as well as the small jar of lotion she'd used on him last time - just in case - Ashley made her way back to the librarian's quarters. Pausing outside of the door, she adjusted her robes before she lifted a hand and rapped sharply on the door.

She hoped he was in, and up for entertaining her - at least for a little while.

He shifted to rest a bit more of his weight on her so one of his hands could travel down her side, over her hip and down her thigh until he reached bare skin. He shivered as he fingers snuck up her bare thigh just a bit before skirting further down her leg.

A groan was muffled against her lips as he returned the kiss deeply, his hips rocking slightly against hers.

Feeling her smile against his lips, he opened his eyes to gaze down at her, a smile touching his own lips. Brows arched and he murmured, a little teasing, but of course he meant it too, "I don't know if this is the best time to ask, but would you like to go out with me?"

Ashley had to laugh at the absurdity of the question given their current state of affairs. "Oh, no," she said softly as she stroked her fingertips through his hair. "I believe we 'ave gone past the stage of dating, non? And skipped right to the part where you propose?"

She chuckled and shook her head. "I would enjoy 'aving a date with you, Benjamin," Ashley assured him softly. "Should we stop what we are doing, and plan that now?" she added innocently, pale brows arching as she regarded him.

Just teasing, of course; she had very, very little desire to stop what they were doing just now. "Where would you like to go?" she inquired as she rubbed small circles on his back, working on his shoulder blades.

He supposed he'd set himself up for that one and he chuckled breathlessly. He certainly was in no hurry to stop what they were doing, but he was curious how long they could attempt to plan it out in the middle of this.

"I honestly don't know," he admitted before pressing another kiss to her lips and then to her jaw and throat. "Out to dinner? Or just something here?"

It might be a little easier to come up with ideas while he wasn't so distracted by the press of her body against his, how she tasted, but he didn't really think she was expecting brilliance at the moment.

She was honestly struck for a moment as she thought about that. It would be nice to get out, but she did have duties here at the infirmary. Still, she imagined Ari would cover for her. So she nodded slightly. "Either," she decided. "Per'aps something out, just to escape the castle for a bit."

One hand slipped from his back up into his hair, stroking through the short, dark locks. "We should get to know one another, non?" A teasing smile tugged at her lips before she tilted her head, pressing her lips against his own. Biting softly at his lower lip, she opened her eyes as she drew her head back. Releasing his lip, she slipped her hand down his back once more, drifting lower this time.

He would have to find someone to cover for him, as well, but he imagined it could be done. It would be nice to be out of the castle with her and for a moment his mind drifted to the summer and things they could do, but that was certainly getting ahead of himself.

"Yes, I believe that might be a good idea," he agreed with a little bit of teasing of his own before he was distracted by her kiss. Returning it, he let his eyes drift closed and groaned quietly when she bit his lip.

"I hope we have all of our major conversations this way," he decided with a smile before his lips sought out her throat to bite gently.

Ashley laughed quietly. "But it is distracting," she protested. "I am not sure I would remember 'alf of what we talked about, if we 'ad all our conversations like this."

Her eyes closed as her fingertips explored the skin of his back, drifting over his hips and the upper curve of his arse. "Per'aps we should try conversing later when we are dressed and can pay attention to the words instead of simply focusing on each other's bodies," Ashley breathed in a low, slightly husky voice.

Lifting her head, she reclaimed his lips despite their apparent intention to bite at her throat. But really ... she wanted to kiss him. She liked the feel of his lips against her own, the way he kissed her.

He laughed quietly, though he couldn't really argue. It was distracting, but it was also nice to laugh and tease each other even so.

"We can try it your way, then," he agreed quietly, his own voice husky with desire. Hearing her voice that way made him shiver, compounded by her fingertips exploring his back and lower.

When her lips found his once more, he let his eyes drift closed and returned it deeply, eagerly, content to slowly explore one another.
