Summary: Susan goes to question Miles further, and that's where the fun begins.
Susan had gone back to the office after speaking to that Capper woman, and tried to calm herself down. She wanted to go and immediately question Bletchley, but unfortunately, the mad woman was right. She should have probably checked a few more things before she went out on her interview. She'd gone home and stewed about it all night. On the upside, there wasn't a single spot of dust or dirt in her entire house. She awoke with renewed vigour.
The fact that a non auror had reminded her of something she should have done in the first place just irritated her. Arriving at work, she planned on talking to Cass about her run in with the insufferable woman. However he was racing out the door to clean up after the Lestranges and some 'fun' they had had in Manchester. Susan had wanted to join them, but Rosmerta's murder case was her current assignment.
She needed to question Bletchley again, and wasn't looking forward to it. When she started to check up on his recent movements, she was surprised to find that he had purchased a portkey to go to Russia. The idea that he was leaving the country did not sit well, not with the fact that there were still a few unanswered questions in relation to Rosmerta's murder. Things were looking suspiciously like he was ready to flee.
She found herself hoping that he didn't have any proof he was with that Capper cow. That way she could go and arrest that bint, and that really would put a dent in her nose.
The autopsy report on Rosmerta's body was sitting on her desk, but she didn't have time to read it now. It wasn't urgent. It wasn't like the woman was going to suddenly come alive again. She did note the request to keep the body in the morgue for a while longer, which obviously meant they were still investigating something. The report could wait.
Hunt was sitting at his desk when she was on her way to go and question Bletchley further. The foreign auror seemed quite eager to accompany her again. They made their way quickly to Bletchley's flat in town. She knocked on the door, and hoped to Merlin that the man's son wasn't around. She always hated it when she had to go and question people and their children were there. Particularly when this was the second time they were being questioned, and that he would no doubt he was becoming more and more of a suspect.
