Summary Umbridge has a "request" which of course means that Hestia has no choice.
A chill had seemed to go through Umbridge when she heard about the battle that morning. A short, tingling, chill she always had when she heard something unpleasant was going on.
Then she'd put the note with the information down, face first, and gone and got some tea. By the first sip, she'd forgotten all about nasty little things like battles, and was far busier writing up her newest decree. She had a few in mind, and the werewolf attack on the English village the other day (she shivered when she thought of that too, so she put the thought aside quickly enough) was the perfect reason to tighten control.
Before she could do that, however, she needed Miss Hestia Jones. Single mother, owner of the werewolf clinic, former hit-witch. Umbridge didn't like to need people, but in this case she did.
Or rather she needed the clinic.
If Miss Jones did not co-operate for the best of the community, then surely she should not be allowed to run such an establishment. Surely. Yes. She'd make sure Miss Jones knew that if she started making trouble.
By the time Miss Jones, single mother, runner of the werewolf clinic, former hit-witch, was due to arrive, Dolores Umbridge was in a rather good mood again. The decree lay written for tomorrow. The battle was long forgotten. All in all, it was a really good day.
