Summary: Mourners come to pay their last respects to Tiberius Ogden
The week since Tiberius' death had been long, but not impossible to get through. He'd thought that the paperwork alone would have given him a headache, but it hadn't. Tiberius had been remarkably well-prepared. The wards on Tiberius' properties had automatically transferred to Cormac at the time of his death, according to Tiberius' will. There was money, and of course the house in Hogsmeade. Cormac had copied most of Tiberius' private papers and sent them off to Morag, who had said she would keep them safe. Between the two of them, and Percy when he was able, they'd gotten Tiberius' affairs in order.
The funeral itself had been short, Tiberius hadn't been a man in life to appreciate more than the appropriate amount of ceremony. Cormac had spoken on his Uncle's life, something he had found easier than he'd thought. He'd taken a lot of time to think over the past few days, and couldn't help but feel guilty that it'd taken his Uncle's death to finally see that he hadn't been a bad man, or a bad father.
There would be more speeches at the reception, which Morag had arranged and paid for at Escapism. Cormac had tried to pay, but he'd been able to tell at the time that Morag needed to do something. They'd chosen Escapism simply because the protective wards and security measures there rivalled Hogwarts, and there was no safer place in town.
He looked around the church as he prepared to stand up one final time, and was slightly surprised at all the people who were there. He shouldn't have been, his Uncle had been the closest thing to a Minister they'd had for years, and he had a lot of allies.
"The family has asked that you all join them at Escapism for further celebration of Tiberius' Ogden's life," the Priest said, just about to gesture for everyone to stand, when there was an interruption.
