B E Y O N D . C R I S I S

The transport of Battalion to temporary holding at Stryker's has hit an unforeseen hitch, resulting in the prisoner's escape due to outside help. The aerotransport he had been in just barely makes it to the prison island, and soon the Science Police who were assigned to security joined it, having been forced back. The thing is that Battalion hasn't exactly gone far in his escape. In fact, he hasn't gone anyone. The very one who got him free of his restraints is now the one he's fighting in the sky.

The Science Police attempted to regain order and control over the situation, but this was never in their league. The situation has escalated too far. What's worse is that it sounds like the Justice League is otherwise occupied and Superman hasn't been seen since the asteroid was destroyed.

Everyone helplessly observing has to quickly turn away as the sky lights up with brilliant flame. When they dare look back, they see Battalion's flaming form plummeting limply all the way to the surface waters of the bay, where he hits with a fizzling splash.

Still in the air is Kid Krypton with her eyes glowing bright.
