It was actually a little encouraging to watch Sorel get excited about something. It was completely different than the meek young man who had been about to bolt just minutes ago. Dante nodded his head in agreement. "I'm Greek, so a lot of my cooking revolves around that upbringing. But some of that stuff isn't available here so I have to improvise. Haven't burned down the kitchen yet." He offered a little smirk.
This time, Dante shook his head. "No one's ever an open book, not totally. That's part of the fun...conversing." Dante had been about to say 'interrogating' but he didn't want to put Sorel on the defensive again. "And if I wasn't, I doubt I'd be half as good at my job as I like to think I am."
Dante took that as it was and leaned back against the bench, shrugging. "I guess there isn't."
