Teddy set her down as gently but as quickly as he could. “Demon,” he replied as he turned her as swiftly as possible. There was no way to do this without pain. He hated to ignore her pain, but there was nothing he could do for her. All he could do was try to do this as efficiently as possible to spare her more pain.
At least she was burned on her lower half of her body. The woman had instinctively turned at the right moment to avoid the worst of the demon’s attack. Her head, throat and chest were clear, so he knew that was one of the biggest potential problems dealt with. Still, the rest of the burns were pretty severe. Second and third degree. She’d need a lot of time to get over this one.
Time they could only buy her if they stabilized her. Even without burns on her face or chest, she was still in really bad shape. Teddy had been around enough muggle medicine to know a couple things. He let the healer tend to her while he tried to count out her heart rate.
