Some might call him a monster, certainly his victims would have if they still lived, yet in truth Tell took no real pleasure from killing at all. Now the challenge of a hunt, well that he did enjoy. Just as he savored the way his heart raced when he was fighting an opponent with skill. Those feelings aside Jeremy never took much else from the whole experience, except for the obscene amount of cash that people paid him to kill on their behalf. He wasn't cruel or sadistic, or at least not more so then the average person. Granted he was cold and calculating when it came time to work, but aside from striving for professionalism...well the man just wasn't invested in much else. Even in the heat of this moment his every movement was intentional, as he purposefully switched from aggressive to flirty to keep her off balance. Oh she was absolutely enthralling, to be sure, and kissing those soft lips sounded very appealing. Still as his thumb traced across those very lips it was not desire that drove him to act in such a manner.
Already she had proven herself to be far more skilled in the way of stealth then he. It was just dumb luck, and primal instinct, that keyed him in to her presence at all. Well that and the fact that she smelled so fucking good. So he had closed the gap to get a better read of his opponent, and as his thumb brushed slowly across her lips Jeremy's last suspicion was confirmed...for he could not feel her breath at all. No noticeable pulse, no sign of breath either. She was not human at all. Still instead of being repulsed or afraid the man actually smiled a little, and after nodding to himself his hand pulled away. He offered no response to her softly spoken remark, regarding her stealth, since he knew she was addressing herself. However when she mentioned her belief Tell actually chuckled a little before shrugging those shoulders of his. "Oh there were a few others with 'gifts' at least, if the news is to be believed. As far as killers go, there are also more then a few assassins for hire too. It is a lucrative market after all...even if the health plan is somewhat lacking." He knew what she had meant, and only slightly deflected with a bit of humor. In truth she was right and he knew it. There were not a lot of people like him out there, but Jeremy was well aware of the simple fact that there would always be someone more powerful...and far more scary then he could ever be.
Despite that fact he took the rest in stride, quite content with living well thanks to the profits he had earned with his work. Things changed in an instant when her question was posed, though the change was on an emotional level..since neither apparently planned to move away from the other. He had heard that slight tone in her words, yet again he said nothing of it. Instead his gaze met her own and silence held sway for a few moments, until he spoke up again. "No. It was simply a fact, since you are both beautiful and dangerous. If I sought to offer a genuine compliment of sorts...well honestly I am a little rusty with this shit. Still i'd probably lead with something about how fucking soft those lips of yours are. Then i'd make a passing remark about how I was tempted to see if kissing you would be as sweet as I imagined it in my head." The card he still held vanished up his sleeve, just like the other one had done before. No longer 'armed' he flashed her a small warm smile before running his fingers through his hair. "Honestly this whole dance is something i'm not great at. Give me a target surrounded by a whole host of guards and I can take em out without issue, but this flirty stuff is a bit trickier for me I suppose."
