Who: Ileana and Esme Grigore
What: Ileana shows up to live with her sister.
Where: the city up to #1203
When: Early evening
Warnings: Esme's crazy?
The New York Port Authority bustled with sounds of people and buses through the terminals. One particular steel gray bus pulled up to the curb and the doors hissed open as people start to unload in to an already busy terminal. Ileana followed the wave of people out of the bus with her bag slung over her shoulder, looking down at the few scrawled directions to an apartment building that her sister should be at.
Ileana unloaded her trunk from the bus, tugging it along behind her on its squeaky, little wheels as she head through the terminal to find the nearest subway station. As she waited for the next train, Ileana thought of the older sister she had never met. She wondered if Esme looked more like their mother or father, if they had similar taste in music, or did she take after their father completely in that aspect. She ducked her head, smiling a little to herself as she gathered her things as the subway pulled in to the platform. She’ll find out soon enough.
She rode the train down to the stop scrawled on her piece of notebook paper, before she stepped out and walked up the stairs to the street. It didn't take long for Ileana to be able to find the building - Bellum Letale. Something piqued her interest about the place as soon as she stepped foot inside the main foyer, but Ileana ignored it in favor of attempting to take the elevator up to the 12th floor.
The elevator started with a little lurch, but stopped at the 8th floor and the doors opened. Ileana attempted to hit the button for 12 again, but no response. With a sigh, Ileana grabbed her things and walked to the stairwell, glancing at the doors as she passed by. It was a slow climb as Ileana thought of what she could say to her sister. Her dad gave her a letter to Esme, but it still would be something of a surprise. Although right now, Ileana just was hoping to get Esme to open the door.
Ileana set her things down on the floor near the door to #1203, rummaging around in her backpack to get out the letter their father had wrote and addressed to Esme. With a slow exhale to calm her nerves, Ileana knocked on the door and waited.
