"You ain't ready," she said softly, "and I ain't gonna put that pressure on you just yet," she admitted. She bit her lip, and she crawled into his lap, curling against him in a way she'd wanted to do since the hospital. She twined the fingers of one of his hands with hers. "I wanna make sure you know me, that we work through everything first. We got a lot of history we don't see eye to eye on, Shane. And I ain't sure that you want me, or that you want to fix what you done to me."
