Tegan had woken up close to Nick, one arm draped over his chest as she slept. It took a moment for her to figure out why she'd woken up, but then she realized that light was sneaking in around the curtains. She glanced over to see if Nick was awake, startled to see wide blue eyes looking back at her. She smiled at him tentatively, starting to pull her arm back, before realizing that Nick was shaking, looking a little sick.

"Hey..." She frowned a little, voice soft, "Hey, are you okay?"

Nick's night was less peaceful than Tegan's, mostly spent in vain attempts to fall asleep. He ran out of sheep to count and just waited out until morning. The nausea was expected, so were the shakes. He wasn't sure how he was going to pretend to be anyone if he was bent over vomiting all night.

He sat up when Tegan woke up, gently pushing her arm off his chest. "'m fine. Did you sleep okay?"

	Tegan frowned, but nodded a bit. "It was alright." After a moment, she tentatively reached out to brush his hair back from his forehead, her touch gentle. "Not you?" It was easy to see that something wasn't right. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Nick shrugged a little, giving her a tiny smile. "Medication withdrawal," he said as an explanation. He shifted over to get out of bed, stretching and still looking close to as if he was to puke all over the floor. "I'll be all right in a little while. Sooner we go home, the better though," he said. 	She nodded a bit but still frowned slightly. "Is there... anything I can do? I hate to see you feeling so sick." She didn't ask what the medication was for, figuring it was none of her business at the moment. She sat on the bed, legs crossed awkwardly under her nightgown. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Nick couldn't help a smile at that, rubbing the back of his head. There really wasn't much she could do, but it was nice for someone to offer a helping hand. "Unless you can make Joanie make me some pills," he huffed out a little laugh, rubbing a hand over his face.

Wendy always makes people feel better, Peter told him stubbornly and Nick laughed again. "Peter thinks you could possibly save the world by just existing, you know."

....She COULD.

	Tegan smiled a bit and shook her head. "I don't know if she can make medication... Just things." Tegan laughed softly and blushed a bit. "I don't think... I don't know about saving the world. 	Nick shrugged helplessly, "Then I don't think there is much to do." He scratched the back of his head, looking at Tegan for a moment. "Peter thinks so. And you don't need to save the world anyway. Tegan smiled, almost a little sadly. "I do wish I could at least help you, though. I mean, what good is it having some book character in my head if she can't do anything." Wendy complained that she could so do things, but Tegan just shook her head a little.

She went quiet at Nick's next comment, looking down at her hands and shaking her head again. "I don't want to worry about tonight. I don't even want to think about it. I know I should, but..." She shrugged a little helplessly. "I just keep thinking about how much I want to go home."

	"I dunno, but Peter hasn't helped either. I think he's making things worse, kicking brain stuff around," he grinned a little with his joke. "He's probably knocked something useful loose." Tegan laughed so softly. "But at least he can fly. If you really needed him to. Wendy can't even do that without him." She made a face at his little joke, reaching over to so, so gently poke his forehead. "There. I knocked it back."

She nodded. "Of course I'll try. Joanie gave me that knife, and I'll try to keep it on me. And I'm not going to just going to let him do anything he wants, or anything. I mean, if I can." She gives an awkward little shrug, not know what she'd really be able to do to defend herself if Lvov did do something.
