GROUP DELTA GROUP LOG
Who: Group Delta
What: The Raid! Group Delta Arrival Log
Where: Chicago, IL
When: Feb. 11, 1929
Warnings: TBA
Notes: The log is now ready for tagging! Start whenever you like. See Group Delta’s Plot Post for more details! Keep in mind that this post will have comments shut down around this time tomorrow, and is only for tags during the visit to the speak. Any other logs in the following two days are yours to create.

12:01 on Saturday, June 19, Bellum’s tenants should have been asleep in their beds. Some of them, no doubt, were awake, and would have seen the flash that left them standing with fifteen of the building’s other residents, dressed in a period out of the past, in the middle of a party like no other.

Crude. Not worth our time. Deirdre couldn't help agreeing a bit, but she shoved the opinion away, logic dictating that she at least try to figure out what was happening.

"It is not you, no. Not solely, at least." She threw a glance around the room, seeing a girl that she was almost certain was on the pirate ship with her, two men standing near her. "Nor, do I believe, are we the only ones here from the building."

She looked at the girl for a long moment before offering an introduction of her own. "Deirdre." She purposely neglected to add her tale, ignoring the sound of disgust and annoyance in her mind.

Joss snorted, Badr accompanying her. "You're not going to say we have to find them, are you?" She paused for a second. "Wait, Sherri. She's a moron when it comes to this stuff."

Deirdre's expression barely changed. "I'm certain that someone will gather us up at some point with thoughts of how to get back to the building." She gave Joss a flat look. "And I have no inkling who 'Sherri' is." Or why we should care. Indeed.

"My sister," Joss said. Badr piped up in the back of her mind that she was the Creator but Joss ignored that. Jesus, this wasn't Catholic school after all. "She's a storyteller."

Deirdre's gaze started to wander around the room as Joss spoke. Even when she responded, her eyes were taking in the rest of the scene. "Mm. Really." It wasn't exactly a question. "Herself or her fable."

"Both." Her eyes followed Deirdre's for a moment, coming up with a few recognizable faces but none that were Sherri's. "She's Scheharryzada or however you say it."

"Scheherazade." The correction slipped out without Deirdre even thinking about it.

After another moment, she began moving toward the coat check, tired of holding her fur. She paused for just a moment, glancing over at Joss, the barest flicker of an invitation to continue their conversation as she walked.

She shrugged. "That too."

Joss followed her, curiously. She didn't have a coat on her - though after a moment, realized she wore a hat. Unpinning it from her head, she stared at it before passing it to the coatman. She flashed him her best, dazzling grin and turned back to Deirdre. "Where are you in the building?"

Deirdre accepted a check tag from the coat girl with a polite smile, tucking it into her wrist clutch for safekeeping. She found a bit of money also in her clutch, and though she knew if this was, indeed, the twenties, that things cost less, she was still concerned at the amount.

She returned her attention to Joss as she stepped away from the counter. "Penthouse." After a long moment, she gave in to politeness. "And you?"

She took a ticket too, stuffing it down her top with ease. No purse on her, that she could see. Badr made an amused sound in her mind, making Joss smirk. Okay. This wasn't too bad.

"Second floor," she said, curiously. An eyebrow went up. "I guess you're loaded, huh?"

Deirdre disliked talking about money when it entailed her own financial situation. She found it invasive and extremely rude. Her tone went a little flatter. "I am able to live comfortably."

Another snort. "Sure, that's one way for it." Badr asked Wait, wait, you don't have MONEY? You're not a princess? ...ugh. Joss tuned her out again, tilting her head towards Deirdre. "You looking for anyone?"

Deirdre returned her gaze to Joss, sighing a bit. "Not particularly. I do not know many of the residents of the building." And rightfully so. Do not lower yourself to their level. Deirdre frowned a slight bit and shook her head once, trying to clear it.

Badr huffed. She's boring. I don't get out much. Can't we find something good? For a moment Joss pressed her lips together - Deirdre was paying attention to her, which was rather nice all things considered - before shrugging. "Fine," she said to the empty air.

She winked at Deirdre, just for the reaction before slipping off into the crowd. Knowing Bellum this would all resolve itself soon enough. She wanted a drink and try this Charleston dance here.

Deirdre watched the girl walk away, and felt no loss at watching her go. She turned to face the rest of the room, accepting a glass from a passerby with a soft smile, and watching the people move around.
