Her forehead felt warm where his lips had touched, and Isobel found herself looking up towards him, seeking out his eyes with her own. Somehow those words, the kiss on her forehead... it pulled so much back together, a soothing balm to feelings and emotions that had been so raw. She blinked several times, her eyes becoming watery, but she refused to let tears fall. Instead she smiled, and this time it reached her eyes, bright and watery as they were at that moment.
Licking lips that had gone dry, Isobel pressed her hands lightly to his shoulders and rose up on her tip toes, pressing her lips against his cheek briefly, ducking her head to nuzzle against him before she pulled back. "Don't let me lose it," she said as she lowered herself back down, her gaze never leaving his face. There was a certain life breathed back into her that hadn't been present before, like clouds drawing away from the sun after a storm.
