"I guess it's just hard to get past that... tendency towards self blame and depreciation. It didn't used to be like this for me." Shoulders shrugged up and he took in a deep breath, holding the air of the sunset for a long while before letting it out slowly. It soothed him, drew way some of the tensions that plagued him. "We're all apart of a bigger picture, aren't we?" Oliver asked, looking towards the fountain with a distant expression.
Her explanation about the shaman brought him back to the present, his gaze taking her in once more. "It's hard to imagine something like that. A shaman, I mean. That they... really exist and people have interacted with them. Says the boy who was born and raised in Pennsylvania." Oliver let out a laugh, moving closer to the fountain to give the base a nudge with one sneakered toe.
"We're not seriously going to stand on this and yell, are we?" he asked, looking back over towards her with an arched brow. "People are going to stare. They might call the cops on us."
