Who: Oliver and Miksa
What: Apparently they will be standing on a fountain. Oliver thinks this crazy.
Where: The park
When: Saturday Afternoon
Warnings: Silliness? TBD.
This was absolutely insane. Meeting a woman he barely knew was one thing, meeting a woman in the park to stand on the fountain and yell was a completely different thing. It was insane, crazy, unheard of, and yet here Oliver was walking down the sidewalk to do exactly that.
Telling Miksa about Heather had been freeing in a way. It was something that he had kept bottled up for years, a closely kept secret that he dreaded anyone knowing, for he knew escaping the looks of blame would be nigh on impossible. But after telling her, there had been no blame, no accusations tossed his way. She had simply listened and echoed the thoughts that had long since been going through his own head.
Maybe that's why he was going to the park, hands shoved in the pockets of well-worn jeans, a faded t-shirt that might have been for some college hanging baggy on his chest. The walk to the park passed by quickly, the scenery on the way there given only a cursory glance, and before Oliver knew it, he was standing in the park, looking about for anyone who could be Miksa, and feeling downright silly.
You're insane, Oliver. And obviously desperate for company, the voice in his head said, and he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose to alleviate some of his tension. Maybe she was right. Maybe he was a little scared.
