Boyd did one thing before reaching back for her iPhone. She pushed Hannah's sleeves back up, and she ran gentle fingers over the marks on both arms, her fingertips trailing gently over Hannah's pale skin. The touch lingered, and she looked up at Hannah's face just once. And then she tugged the sleeves down again without saying another word.
A moment later, and her phone was in Hannah's hand, and Boyd was crawling off the bed to put on a white hoodie that was thrown over the back of the chair. "Put your stuff in there," she said, and she tied her hair in a knot at the nape of her neck, trying to make it less noticeable, and stepped into a pair of white sneakers.
