Who: Pete and Kiki
What: I don't even know lmao, but it should be good.
Where: 1104
When: Morning after this
Warnings: Kiki's got a mouth on her! Pete is upset, he probably has a mouth on him too.
Pete was in shock, to be honest he didn't know what else to feel. His wife had left him in the morning, he took Quincey for a walk, came home to an empty apartment had a few beers outed himself on the anonymous post, quit his job and sacked out on the couch with a dog. He woke up a few times in the night, and it would all come rushing back to him.
Pete wasn't stupid, he knew that things weren't perfect but he didn't think that any marriage was perfect all the time. He thought that they had enough going for them, he thought that they had it differently than those couples who got married young. Some would say they got married for all the wrong reasons, but Pete didn't see it that way at all. He loved Helena and that was reason enough. Sure they were young and stupid and in a rush, but it didn't mean he regretted a single day with her.
No, the only thing Pete regretted was coming to this place. He didn't know what was stopping him from going up to P3 and knocking his boss into next week. He still wasn't convinced it was a bad idea. He didn't want to vilify Helena, that was the last thing you did to someone you loved. But it was hard not to, it was hard not to be angry. In his mind there were so many better ways to deal with being unhappy. Betrayal was not one of them. He understood that she was unhappy with her place in their marriage, hell there were times that he was unhappy with his place in their marriage. But he didn't go find someone else to fall in love with, he did what he could to change it and fix it. And there was also the point of accepting that nothing is ever perfect.
He supposed she'd realize that while Vlad was ripping her throat out with his teeth, but when his mind when there he felt instantly scolded by the Jonathan Harker part of his brain that was telling him he wouldn't let that happen. Now that Lena was gone that part of his brain was a bit louder than usual and a couple of extra beers shut him right up. The problem with that plan is that Pete, while a fan of beer and wine in general, wasn't a regular drinker. So when morning came around he had a bit of a headache and he laid on his back with his arm draped over his eyes and Quincey laying on his chest. "What are we gonna do now, Captain Awesome?" he said sighing a bit pathetically. "You want to go mark your territory outside of P3?" he said giving the dog a little scratch.
It was then that he heard the front door open and he looked over instantly half hoping half dreading. Luckily it was just Kiki and she looked about as exhausted as Pete felt. "Morning." He said not even bothering to get up.
