Katya's gaze followed his. "Is black tea," she said, gesturing toward the shelves he was looking at. "Good for caffeine, if you are wanting that. But first, we will do your fortune. Come, follow me."
She walked toward the rear of the shop, behind the counter with the cash registers, and into her office. When Aiden entered, she shut the door behind him. Her employees wouldn't walk in without asking permission, and she would tell them she was in a meeting should they knock. She sat in one of the two small chairs that were opposite her desk. The entire office was pin-straight and almost neurotically neat. The books on the shelves were alphabetized, and the few knickknack items were arranged in neat groups.
Crossing her legs at the ankle and catching one foot on the leg of the chair, she turned toward him. "What are you looking to know?" she inquired.
