"You could ask it, you know. I don't normally run around just telling people my name out of the blue. But that's hardly here, or there." She smiled brightly at him then, her eyes bright. "Isobel. Isobel Hughes. Since you asked so nicely." There was a laugh then, and she moved over towards where he had gestured for her to sit, taking a perch there with her legs crossed.
That attempt at a smile was certainly promising, but the awkwardness that seemed to surround him was more interesting. "No, not of everyone. Just of the ones where I wonder if their face might crack if they tried. It was just simple curiosity. You don't look like someone who smiles or laughs very often, that's all." Trailing off, her attention was drawn towards the tray he was fussing with, almost having to sit on her hands to keep from poking at it curiously. "You said this would be pretty simple, right?" she asked, glancing up towards him. "Not gonna hurt or anything?"
