Who: Li and James
What: Dinner
Where: James' apartment
When: Days after James' last log with Rick
Warnings: None so far
Li knocked softly on the door of 501. In her other hand she held a ceramic bowl filled with soft, plump dumplings. She worried that it was presumptuous of her to assume James would be interested, but loneliness convinced her to take the risk. She had not met with anyone else in the building, despite the generous friendliness of each tenant she'd encountered.
Her apartment, spacious as it was, had become cramped. There was concern about being found out and there was paranoia. (Not even the detective seemed particularly interested in her, and it was Li's desire to keep it that way that prevented her from complaining about his choice of music that blasted through her ceiling. It was a shame the entertainment center had made it up five flights of stairs and it was far too late now to orchestrate an "accident".)
Li looked down at the prepared meal. Perhaps James was not home. Wouldn't Li feel silly caught standing in the middle of the hall for no one?
