Our trip through time could have been a substitute for the full moon, since our tales were quite vocal and half of us nearly ended up dead. But it's never been nice before, if a building can even be nice, and

Try not to worry yourself too much, Helena. I know it's unsettling, but whatever happens we will get through it as always. I would die before I let anything happen to you

The implication that every month the building needs to be satisfied with some sort of bloodshed is a terrifying one.

You know me. It's nearly impossible for me not to worry. I can hardly stop pacing as is. I should go to bed but I know I would lie there awake and restless. I might rearrange everything just to try to keep myself occupied.

Well I was implying more along the lines that usually the building only seems satisfied when we end up in dangerous situations, but unfortunately bloodshed seems to factor into it quite a bit.

I know. I We Keeping busy is the only way to keep from expecting the worst. Sometimes too much time to think can be a bad thing.

I suppose I'm getting ahead of myself, but each of these ordeals the building has thrown at us has become increasingly more dangerous. I fear I'm jumping to fair conclusions.

Indeed it is. How are you keeping busy tonight? Any suggestions for how I might do the same?

Considering the fact that things have only gotten progressively worse over the months, it's likely that your conclusions are not very far off from the truth. I wish there was something we could do to stop it.

Well, right now I happen to be occupying myself by talking to you. I find it's much easier when you have someone else to help distract you, but I suppose rearranging things could be just as effective.

You and I both. I'm alarmed at how accustomed to the madness I'm becoming. I wish I could stop letting these events control my life altogether, instead of working my life around them.

Am I doing a sufficient job of distracting you? At least you have Cain and Abel to help if I'm not enough although I would ask that you not rearrange a single item. How would I find anything again when I return?

I think becoming accustomed to the madness was always inevitable. Either we learn to adapt or live in a state of constant denial, although it would be preferable to just end it entirely. It seems like most people have given up None of us know what to do anymore I wish I knew what to do, but right now the only way to stop it seems to be moving.

Of course you are. Cain and Abel are by no means bad company, but they are not quite the same as you. When? How long You have a point. I do like where everything is at the moment anyway, so there's no need to change it. I would hate for you to come back to an unfamiliar apartment.

True, moving is always an option. Why haven't you haven't we Although I'm not sure how much peace we can all find outside. We've had a few move back in recently. But perhaps they have other

I, at least, know better than to even think about sitting in your favorite spot on the couch. When will Cain learn? Well, should ever want to change anything around, please don't let me stop you. It is your home, afterall. I could always ask for another tour when I return. I rather enjoyed the last one you gave, even if we did spend most of our time in one room. Actually, the more I think on it, it probably was because we did.

Have you ever thought of If it comes to it, then maybe That is true, but not everyone moves back in. Some return, but some still stay away. They must have found some kind of peace. Or maybe they just forgot

I always appreciated that, but you are far more welcome to my favorite spot than Cain. Especially since he's not quite so fond of sharing. I suppose, in that case, I could move a few things around. Or I could give you another tour even if everything stays the same, just to refresh your memory. And if we stay in one room... well, I doubt that would be an issue.
