This is embarrassing -- I've been here a while but I don't think I've met many of you. I'm Ava, on the first floor. One of my new year's resolutions has been to deal with stress better than I have been (mostly not dealing with it) and I'm just now getting around to figuring out how to do that. Manhattan is full of yoga studios and zen temples and whatnot, but most seem to cater to the very, very rich. Anyone here have any recommendations for a good, relaxing, not expensive place for some stress-relieving activities?

Perhaps you need one of these soothing yoga/meditation studios, too. I'll share any tips I get.

What's your name, by the way?

It's Emery Holz. For now

It's a pleasure to meet you, Ava. Yes. It's certainly something.

Well. I. Well, I was going to say that I'm not particularly used to- well. Being teased.

Then I remembered my brother. I would never

Oh, dear, is the brother older or younger? It must have been very bad teasing for you to block it out! Sorry to bring up such bad memories. More and more, it sounds like you need yoga. Just my non-professional opinion. ;)

Oh, thank you! I've been here about six months, shockingly enough. I still haven't unpacked even, so it feels like less. But I just counted.

Not ridiculous. That seems like a fairly safe method. Some people in this building are dangerous, you know.

Hi. I'm Hannah, on the tenth floor - have you been here long?

I'm not sure about the good, relaxing, not-expensive place; but I'm sure there has to be somewhere in the city that caters to the majority of the public.

Six months, can you believe that? It's embarrassing, really -- I feel like a hermit.

The local Y caters to the public, but it shows -- the place is disgusting. I guess I'll have to go to Staten Island or something to find a cheap yoga studio. :/

Six months? Can you tell me how you managed to stay under the radar for that long? Oh, I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes it's better to lay low for a while. Anyway, it's nice to meet you now.

That... doesn't sound very appealing. I don't know New York as well as most, but I could help you look if you wanted? I mean I've realized I don't have many fr

I would love that! I bet I would be more motivated, too, if I had a buddy. I work so much, I haven't had time to meet many people -- I know that sounds pathetic, but it's true.

Is there a particular music or book you enjoy? I've on occasion used that in the past. Use that as a focus point, before calming down.
