Hm, this was going to be a lot more difficult than Lily had expected it to be to wake up James for the day. Nudging him and saying his name was not working, nor was nearly kissing him. She was going to have get creative here. She could always jump on the bed or find some way to make loud noises. Was it too familiar to ask James' mum for pots and pans to bang together for optimal effect?
And yet there was still the part of her that didn't want to disturb him.
Glancing toward the door and biting her bottom lip, she internally debated what to do. It was the way he shifted toward her, and his fingers curled into the pillow. She smiled and stood up, drawing back the covers just enough to slip beneath them and shift as close to him as she could with his arm in the way. Resting her head against his hand, she draped her arm over the middle of his back and closed her eyes. This was more comfortable than snuggling on her bed after he'd eaten all of her cake.
