Who: James & Lily
What: Lily wakes James up for dueling practice…or attempts to, at least.
When: Thursday, 12 May, 1977; Early Morning
Where: The Potter House; James' Room
Warnings: G/PG; Sleepy!James and a bit of snogging.
Status: Threaded; Fade to Black
Despite the late hour at which she had gone to sleep the night before, Lily had woken up bright and early, feeling as refreshed as if she'd slept for hours more than she actually had. She figured it had something to do with how pleasantly she had fallen asleep and how much she was looking forward to today. Dressing for the day, she'd headed out early to pick up some croissants from a bakery near her house (and strawberry jam, too). It wasn't much of a breakfast, but the croissants were huge and they could possibly have a bigger lunch after dueling practice. She was rue they'd both be hungry after that kind of a workout.
Lily had obviously never been to James' house before so she hoped she landed in the right place when she Apparated, breakfast in tow. She hesitated a moment before knocking on the front door of the rather massive house that matched the address James had given her. Her own house could probably fit into this one thrice over, but she didn't really care about the appearance of someone else's house like some people might.
An elderly, greying woman--Lily guess she might be nearing eighty by first impression--answered the door and Lily smiled in greeting. "Hullo. My name is Lily Evans. Is James in?" She really hoped she actually had the right house and it seemed as though she did considering the look that the woman--she guessed the woman was James' mum--gave her her. It was the knowing look James had warned her about. Despite joking about whether she would befriend his parents first or wake him up, Lily had every intention of waking James up first. His mum seemed absolutely lovely but she was eager to see James.
As such, she was directed to James' room where James was still sleeping and then left to her own devices as James' mum went back to whatever it had been that she'd been doing before Lily had arrived.
In his bed, James was incredibly cute while he slept. Lily couldn't help but to smile at the sight of him. She set the bag of croissants and jam on his bedside table and took a seat on his bed before placing a hand on his shoulder. "James?" she nudged him lightly and then a bit harder. "James? It's Lily.
