Summary: Alicia and Cass meeting up for supper. After all, quite a bit has happened since they last – and first – met.
Okay, so Alicia had agreed to meet Cass at 7 o’clock at the Leaky Cauldron, which she still fully intended to do. However, that wasn’t going to be the case, seeing as how it was already a five minutes to… And Aidan had just knocked a vase of flowers in Alicia’s shoes, leaving a mess of water, broken glass and lilies spread out across the floor. Not wanting him to cut himself on the broken glass, Alicia had picked him up to carry him out of there, only to have him wipe his nose on the shoulder of her shirt.
She leaned her head back enough to look at him, and instantly melted when she saw his smile. “Alright, charmer,” she smiled at him, “you go find Uncle Nigel, so I can get going, yes?” With a nod, she had him nodding along, before she kissed his cheek and sent him out into the kitchen, where her brother was finishing up dinner for the two of them.
Quickly she cleaned up the mess in the living room, before she hastily fled to her bedroom and did a record fast change of clothes – which was rather impressive, since she also had to pick out a new outfit to wear – this time settling on a pair of nice jeans, a sweater and a pair of black boots.
“Don’t wait up for me!” she called out, before she Apparated off to a spot in Diagon Alley, not too far from the Leaky.
Making her way through the people on the street, she couldn’t help but smile. Meeting up with Cass was thrilling, given how their first encounter had lead to something so brilliant, that she still couldn’t really fathom that it had happened. The fact that she hadn’t fully comprehended it herself, was also the reason why her family hadn’t been let in on it… yet. At least she didn’t think they had, since Nigel was notorious for not really picking up on things like that… not even the fact that aside from the night she had spent at her parents’ house before Christmas, she had either taken Aidan with her to London, or Oliver had been visiting in Glasgow.
Once inside the Leaky, the heat of the place felt almost prickling on the cold skin of her face. She checked her watch, cursing a bit over the fact that she had managed to be late after all, before she began scanning the place, hoping to find Cass there… somewhere.
