Gabe looked down at the box and some of the items peeking out through the flaps. He tried to keep his face as impassive as possible, but his forehead was a little creased and his shoulders were slumped a good deal. He looked up, and let out a distracted, "Huh?" Before his brain registered what she'd said. "Oh," He cleared his throat and shook his head again. "No. Thank you. I'm good. Thanks, Madge." He forced it all out awkwardly. He didn't have a right to be sad about this right? He had brought it on himself after all.
