I would like to point out that the Cardinals are just 3.5 games back in the NL Central.

I just wanted to share (and store) this random bit from a Royals magazine, where they asked players what 3 things they would take if they were stranded on a deserted island...

John Buck: My wife, water, and a bow. That's a bow and arrow. My wife to repopulate the island. Water to drink. The bow to kill some food. I've thought about this before*

Reggie Sanders My wife -- that's the first thing that came to mind. And my kids. Sunblock. And I have to have a washcloth. I always use a washcloth.**

Scott Elarton Food, water, and shelter. I'm a serious guy. ...My wife? If I'm stranded, she's not going to be with me, is she?***

Andrew Sisco Gatorade, a radio, and a fishing pole. I hope it's somewhere where there's English on the radio and they play golden oldies.

Mark Teahen I'd take some kind of surfboard, something to mess around on in the water. There would probably be wood on the island, I might need a box of matches though. And maybe a Frisbee for a fun day at the beach, over and over.

Jimmy Gobble I'd have to have the George Strait boxset. That's just assuming I have a CD player. Obviously my wife, to keep me sane. A 4-wheeler -- nah, a fishing pole.****

Brian Poldberg Wine, women, and song

*To repopulate the island? How romantic.

**Lol. He may not have soap, but he's got a washcloth, by golly.

***Elarton sounds like an incredibly boring kinda guy

****Sounds like a country song already: "Just me, George Strait, and a fishin' pole"
