In which Cid, Reeve and Vincent act out a BL anime
x-posted to my journal.
Fandom:FFVII
Rating:PG-13
Summary:I think it's title says it all really, but there is a minor incident between Reeve and Vincent. Cid's got the wrong end of the stick, or has he?
Author notes:I was challenged to write a Cid/Vincent/Reeve. Cid had to be jealous of Reeve but whether said jealousy was founded or not was left to me.

The bar was quiet. 7th Heaven was almost empty as the three men sat nursing their beers. “So what’s next?” Reeve asked breaking the uncomfortable silence.
Cid scowled at him, the only reason he’d not laid Reeve out was that Vincent had held him back until he’d calmed down enough. “Fucked if I know.” It was followed by a ‘bastard’ muttered under his breath.
Reeve didn’t miss it but kept his face poker straight. Cid felt he had a right be pissed off.
Cid looked at Vincent, who up until this point had remained silent. “Okay, we’ve got this far, I suppose the rest is up to you.” He was still suspended somewhere between disbelief and resigned acceptance as to what had happened. He and Vincent had talked, so a lot of air had been cleared, but for all that had there was equal amounts that hadn’t.
Vincent sighed. He had tried explaining to Cid that what he’d walked in on hadn’t been what he though it was. There really was nothing to be jealous of but Cid’s stubbornness to accept the apology was becoming more entrenched with every passing minute. “There really is nothing more I can say.”
Cid glowered. He’d walked in on Vincent and Reeve sharing a kiss, this was his relationship at stake, why did Vincent not see that?
Reeve stood. “Cid. I apologise for the mess this has ended up in, but I feel this is something that my presence for now will only hinder.”
Cid nodded, letting Reeve go willingly. He didn’t really want to see him right now anyway. He turned his attention back to Vincent. “So, you want to tell me what the fuck happened?”
Vincent was glad for the lack of other patrons, and that Tifa had also seemed to make herself very scarce. “As I said, it was an accident, of which the outcome of was misconstrued by you. Your timing was, unfortunate.”
“Damn right it was unfortunate,” Cid growled. “You were kissing him Vince. How the hell did I misconfuckingstrue that?”
Vincent looked vaguely embarrassed. Cid could have sworn Vincent seemed to extremely uncomfortable, but decided there was no way he was going to give him a break until he’d got to the bottom of what was going on. “So?”
Vincent spoke, slightly muffled behind his cloak and very quietly. “I slipped.”
“What?!” Cid looked at him in disbelief. “Shit, Vince. Don’t give me that.” Then he noticed how serious Vincent looked.
“Reeve was repairing Cait for a few minor faults. We had spoken at some length about the repercussions of Deepground. He asked me to pass him some tools, which were a few feet from where he was sitting. As I turned back to pass him the tools, I failed to notice a slight amount of oil from Cait was under my foot. It caught me by surprise I lost my balance and fell onto Reeve in a most compromising manner. Needless to say, you walked in at that moment.”
Cid looked at him, puzzled . “Why the hell didn’t you tell me this to start with?”
“I did.”
“No, Vince. You just kept saying it was an accident.”
“And it was.”
Cid rolled his eyes in frustration. He looked at Vincent scrutinising the expression for some sign. “You were embarrassed?” Cid laughed. “You know, Vince. Embarrassment is one thing, but you really need to get past it sometimes, it would have saved a whole lotta trouble, and me now having to apologise to Reeve.”
“I wasn’t embarrassed.”
Cid shook his head, grinning. “Your eyes tell me differently.” He laughed. “No wonder Reeve looked that uncomfortable, heh. It must have been a shock for him, suddenly having you there right in the smacker.”
Vincent coughed slightly. “I believe he mentioned it being a ‘unique’ experience, but one he’d ‘rather not repeat, no offense intended’.
Cid laughed again. “Well I suppose I’d better go an’ apologise to him before he gets his knickers in too much of a twist over it.” He stood and put a hand on Vincent’s shoulder. “You’ve got some making up for when I get back, just so you know.” He chuckled and walked out to find Reeve.
