Felicity had just gone into CNRI to check a couple of things with the firewall. This wasn't like at home, and she had to be a lot more careful here. She was doing her best with that. She liked helping Laurel, it gave her something to do. Felicity didn't think she'd ever be able to be a waitress or anything like that. She was grateful that Laurel was letting her help out here. Felicity was a little surprised that they were still here. It wasn't really something she thought would happen. She thought someone would have figured this out and sent them home weeks ago, but here they still were. Felicity was all about making the best of it but also exercising caution. That was definitely a necessity here. This town was strange. New Orleans had a reputation for being different, but what was happening here was something else. She hardly went a day without hearing about a witch or a vampire. Truthfully, Felicity didn't know what to think about any of that. She was raised to be a rational person. Vampires and witches were far from rational. Then again, showing up here with no explanation on how or why a month ago wasn't rational either. She locked the door behind her, and stepped on to the sidewalk. Like others in the city, she was a little on edge since that girl Sophie had been abducted. Felicity had never spoken to her personally, but she knew that Sophie would greet people and all that. And she made some good gumbo, that was another thing Felicity heard a lot about since she got here. It wasn't so bad most of the time, but it wasn't home. At least Oliver and Diggle were here too though. Felicity wondered if they might need to scope out a good place to use as HQ in case the vigilante needed to emerge here. She headed down the street, back towards the hotel. Her work had been done, and she was planning on spending the rest of the day curled up with a good book or something. She hadn't decided which one yet, but she'd work on that when she got back to her room. |
