He had heard her, heard her use his voice..not just a good imitation..but HIS voice. His eyes were wide as his lips almost pursed and he stepped forward, that sudden presence he could summon springing forth in his entire being. Resolute, determined, and burning hot as he suddenly had a lot of questions of his own before he allowed it to settle. He didn't have the right to interrogate her, not right now. He stepped into the apartment, speaking as he did so and rubbing at his jaw with a free hand..he never did like getting hit in the face.
"No, I didn't fake it..I didn't even know I was thought to be dead until a few monthes ago. I just..I had to go away for awhile, I couldn't come back. I didn't know about you're coma or anything until the same time, I'm..I'm sorry I wasn't there."
His voice dropped once again, the bass taking on a primally morose tone as he stared at the ground for a few moments before raising his eyes to her own and pushing his hair back to clear his chiseled features. He wasn't the same man, that was probably evident by the new sharpness in his gaze..not just intellect..but a budding cunning that he hadn't possessed when he left.
"But..did it leave you..do you have abilities now, Meg? I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you, but I had to figure things out. I thought it was for the best. If I had known.."
His hands had started on putting her phone back together without him even noticing, moving with dexterity most people didn't possess. Then phone coming together almost like it was on an assembly line, one of the minor ways his speed expressed itself.
