He finally got the jack and coke, returning the nod of appreciation to the bartender before turning to look at the man who had approached him. He noticed he go his martini first, but he didn't bother..he dressed like he ran a business around here. Probably had the money to tip for the rest of the bar. He gave a small, forced smile that didn't display a tooth while shaking his head.
"No, not usually. I don't think I look like anything special."
He pushed his long hair back, looking at the man again and making sure that his guard stayed up for the moment. He had just come back, the life before he returned had been exciting and full of adventure..but it came at the price of never being able to rest fully. Now he was back, looking to return to a 'normal' life and was finding it hard to shake old habits. Good money could go on the fact that this man was about to shoot him or grow ten feet taller.
"Thanks for the drink by the way, Mr...?"
He was nothing if not polite, but his broad shoulders rolled a bit beneath the shirt and he glanced around the club one more time..though with enough of a calm demeanor to not look at all paranoid. Calm down, Stan. It's not like you stayed in one place long enough to get a real enemy. So, just enjoy your free alcohol and see what brings this guy over here. You don't have to see Megan yet.
