"A surprise. I thought the evening called for it." He said, as they stepped out into the refreshingly cool night air. In an hour or so, it would be filled with the scent of smoke, but at the moment it was wonderful. "I was going to send you some flowers at work, but it occurred to me that you might not be in, and it would raise a few questions you might not want answering." He said, as he opened the door of the jet-black limousine, the windows also blacked-out, "That, and I don't even know if you like flowers." He added with a smile, climbing in.
As soon as the door clicked shut the engine started, the driver pulling away from the curbside and towards the River-side district of the city.
