The phone in his hand vibrated, the tinny voice on the other end trying to get him to reply but Aiden was frozen. Not only had he nearly been crushed but...he'd always written about them, seen photographs and video footage of them but he'd never actually come face to face with a Super.
"No...there isn't anyone inside." He said, before he shook his head, remembering himself and who and what he was talking to. "How do you know my name?" He demanded, his fear about the Supers over taking his fear of being buried in the building or burned alive. He couldn't have himself, or James, in danger and the fact that he was known to the man made him feel sick, cold, even in the face of the intense heat.
He stepped back a little way, just to where he was safe, but he wouldn't leave until he had that answer.
