"The lift and the generator." Hunter said back brightly, flashing a smile that seemed sheet-white against his grey, green and black-splattered face. "Although the generator wasn't broken, but it needed some TLC." He paused, able to see now the expression on Aiden's own face, the whirling anger and sadness and tiredness there.
"You need some time-out?" He asked gently, aware that things had been unpleasant for Aiden since his divorce, and he was used to a more comfortable lifestyle, not just making ends meet. It wasn't the life that Aiden had imagined for him and his son, although James was happy, content, safe and well-feed. The same could not be said for Aiden. "I'm all ears, you know that." He said, offering the young man a small smile, "Or I'll watch James for a couple of hours, if you want. Until I have to leave for class."
