"Of course he invited me back next weekend," Morgan replied with a smug tilt of his chin and amusement shining in his eyes, well aware of his own charms. "The real question is whether I'll go or leave him waiting, since the senator so seems to enjoy the chase." Either way, having someone on the appropriations committee at his beck and call could only come in handy.
Crossing his long legs as he settled himself on his usual spot on Alexander's desk, Morgan's lips twitched in amusement as he was called nosy. Of course he was, and they knew each other well enough that it was expected.
"A reporter?" That was so ..working class. The public would love it if they thought Alexander had fallen for someone like that. Really though, the only parts of the paper Morgan was usually interested in were the society pages and the latest political news, but he did recognize the name. "Nothing extravagant, but that's not fun," he said, glossed lips curled in a little moue of disappointment. "Flowers then, not roses, something rare.. orchids perhaps. Should I have them sent to his office, or would you prefer them waiting at the restaurant?"
