He shook her hand firmly, surprisingly strong and yet he took care to be gentle with her. His eyes moved over her features briefly before turning to glance at the shop owner, a shake of his head before turning back to the young woman who had the 'disguise' on in front of him. He decided to word this a little more carefully than he was originally planning.
"But you don't have any training to do so. You have a unique talent, yes. But sometimes someone who has a talent that might prove useful decides to do a skilled task and ends up doing more harm than good."
He paused again and reached up to scratch at the back of his nose with a thumbnail, old habit when he was thinking a bit to himself. His eyes moving to the ground for a second as he once more decided on the best way to handle the next few sentences he was thinking of. He wasn't quite sure how to put this, but he could tell by the look on her face that he would just break it off gently there.
"All I am saying..is you should probably think about those close to you."
He ran a hand through his hair briefly and glanced over the side of the building once more, the cops were leaving now as the shopkeeper decided to move back into the store and attempt to clean up. He knew he should go down there and help, he could have the whole thing done in a few seconds. But the thought of using his powers again made him a bit nervous. He was already talking himself up in order to get both him and the girl down from the roof.
