Current music:"Clocks" --Coldplay

Characters: Adalene (as Veronica) and Shi
Setting: Le Sang Rouge
Content: Most likly safe
Summary: Shi goes to drink and smoke and such; Adalene goes to talk.

As of late nothing too exciting had been happening in Le Sang Rouge. Adalene found herself too preoccupied with waiting for Aiden to come back with the results from her case. She was being impatient and she knew she should be better about it. She had waited all these years before finally searching for help, what was a few more days?

Thanks to her crazy mood swings as of late, Adalene booked a more pop based band to try to lighten up the atmosphere around her. So far it hadn't been working.

As Veronica Tatou, the french bar owner, Adalene forced herself to move away from the enterance and up to one of the winding staircases. She leaned on the railing as she watched the people drink at the wrap-around bar. The people seemed to be getting more and more interesting. She had met a couple of different people just a few nights before. Though the usual crowd of the infamous bar was usually the most well known celebraties mixed with the middle to higher classes of the city, she was finding more and more people had individual stories she prefered to hear. Adalene did use some of it in her articles but with others, like the two she met before, she found herself keeping the stories to herself.

Adalene scanned over the people drinking for someone new. When her eyes landed on an interesting looking man drinking quietly to himself, her curiosity got the better of her. She pushed her hair back over her shoulders and made sure her purple dress was presentable enough to show her status in the bar, before she went down the stairs to approach him.

He's got a seat at the bar, a bottle of beer, and an ashtray. Not a bad start to the night, and so far people have left him alone.

Wait. He spoke too soon.

He sees her coming and he looks up at her. Hopefully she's just here to see if he needs more beer and then she'll be on her way.

He's never been the social butterfly. At least not since the death of his village. It's not like riding a bicycle though. You really can forget how to interact with people to a degree.

Adalene smiled once she was standing next to the man. She leaned onto the glass bar, "How are things over here?" she asked in Veronica's thick french accent.

Something about the vibe the man was giving off told her she should stay away but the curiosity that was building inside of her as well as the stubborn woman that she is, did not allow her.

"Fine," Shi replies looking up at her. His accent is Chinese natively and is about as thick as her own. He really is tiny for a guy, more petite than anything, but hopefully most of that is hidden while he's sitting. Probably not though because even he can tell that most of the other men's torsos end way above where his does. He never really felt short back home, but out here in the Western world, 5'2" is just tiny.

"Je vais prendre une bière." One thing he's learned over the years through all his travels are those little phrases that you need everywhere, though he's the best at his native language and English. You tend to be able to get along on those.
