Teagan stood next to the man who was only two inches taller than she was, and watched the book-catcher mount the steps. She grinned. "I've never been afraid of bleach, so don't even worry about that."
Her shoulders lifted a little at the question, but Teagan had already proven herself perfectly willing to volunteer information to total strangers outside of work, and it wasn't like it was some big secret that the economy sucked. "Yeah. It's not really by choice. A bunch of us are being let go in the next month. This isn't much of a career, anyway. Are you a student?"
He didn't look anything like a student to her, but the college was nearby and she reasoned the book might have been for a class.
