That was a blunt move, and for that Megan earned some respect from Rachel. Not even trying to control her thoughts, just exposing it all clearly in her own head. It wasn't what most people did: thiking clearly and not fretting about what she could see or not inside their heads. On the contrary, they'd surface their deepest fears and child memories while trying to repress them.

When you can get easily inside any mind, the notion of security seemed like a joke. She began to think of those who could help. The powers that could help.
