Those are the most likely to lead to government intervention or another private party trying to weaponize the research. He was trying not to let his own desires flavor his speech, but he was definitely hoping there was a way to get rid of some of these powers. If even not for himself, but for those who would use their powers to destroy the people around them. He watched Shaw appraisingly, but very politely and decided that he liked the man. He seemed to be genuinely involved in the altruism his research was based on, but he was also very intelligent and it was hard for Stanley to admit someone was smarter than him...but this time he could do it easily. He adjusted the backpack again and shrugged, his eyes moving over to the stage then back to Shaw.
