He had patiently waited for awhile, shuffling in and standing in the back with most of the college students..with which he blended in rather well with. A backpack, that had been thoroughly checked, rested over one shoulder and was filled with various chemistry books. His hoodie was now zipped up fully, said hood pulled up and worn to keep him in a more incognito state. He watched reporters and journalists walk in, he didn't know if he'd see Danny there or not. But he was more interested in the findings the man, Hastings, had and wondered how exactly they related to people with powers.
He thought he remembered meeting the man in passing several years before, at one of the ASU's scientific expos or something of the like. The name seemed extremely familiar and he was wracking his brain to figure out how. But then it was time for the press conference to begin, he adjusted his stance a bit and his brows furrowed a bit..as they always did when he was interested in something. He was able to ignore the idle chatter of most of the students who were just here for credit or because their teacher had recommended it. He had been doing his own studies into the nature of his abilities, but with the limited resources available to him and the fact that he was only one man with his own purview..well..it had been less than conclusive.
It was the last statement, the one declaring a study into people with powers and the fact they needed volunteers, that hit him like punch to the stomach. Mind automatically cuing into a hundred different possibilities and the factors leading up to them. Power enhancement, the study database, the negation of powers, or the viral susceptibility of people with certain genetic sequences. But it was also a chance for him to learn the truth, which he couldn't help but be drawn to and hope for. He seemed to fade back a bit more as the crowd erupted, even the students around him seemed incited by it. Stanley just remained near the exit, watching and listening for now..Axis City was still as busy as ever.
