It was a credit to Simone that Max didn't back up or flinch away when she came closer to him. Anyone else mad at him like this and he would have been nervous. But Simone would never hurt him. Which was good. Being hit when wet stung. He had been slightly worried about getting sick himself. So he wisely kept his mouth shut and went up the stairs.
Part of him want to delay this --it was the first time he really upset Simone-- but he felt guilty that she wasn't relaxing after work because of him. So he stayed in the shower just long enough to feel warm again and returned to the livingroom in his pajamas pants and a long sleeve t-shirt. The sleeves were to hide a rather large bruise on his forearm from falling while practicing flying in the park.
Max remained silent. His mouth got him in trouble enough, thank you. He just pulled his knees up to his chest and waited.
