Moretti listened, not a muscle moving in his face. It was bound to be noticed by someone at some point, now his only choice was to combat the discovery and make sure this uninvited guest didn't tell anyone else what he knew. Or if he did, then no one believed him.
"Two years ago? You'll have to forgive me friend, but you have me at a disadvantage. I don't know who you are, or what event two years ago you refer to..." Of course he meant the explosion. The explosion in the labs that had destroyed part of the newly build Moretti Square complex, killed some of his best scientists and had stopped the cloning and manipulation program in it's tracks. It had taken this long to rebuild and get back to that stage again, the stage of growing and testing their projects to adulthood.
"There was an explosion two years ago, if that is what you mean. A terrible accident, and at the time it was believed to be an accident, although if what you say is true, then perhaps that explosion was not as accidental as the police report described." He said, sitting up a little in his chair, frowning and looking concerned, worried even about the revelation he had just been presented with. "My bioengineering group as never-reformed. The initial cost was too high and unfortunately there were other laboratories in the city making more headway in the field than we were. I believe that the scientists involved all perished in the acc- in the explosion. If they were the guilty parties in this affair, then I hope that their illegal project died with them."
