Moretti was not the sort of man who normally experienced random entrances into his office. Normally security was able to stop such people by now, but clearly some had slipped through. But there was no alarm bell ringing, no small red light on his desk flashing, and so all was well. Of course, he was not idly sitting at his desk, but on the phone, although clearly that conversation could wait. "I am afraid that I must go. We'll discuss the details later." He said, and pressed the call-end button on the speaker-phone on the desk, but also carefully pressed the silent record button too, just incase.
He doubted that there was anything going on in the labs that we was not acutely aware of, but if there was he would deal with it. And although this young man was familiar to him, he was certainly not one of his regular informers. "Why don't you take a seat?" He said, gesturing the man to a chair opposite while he considered his options. Morgan would not be far away- the only reason the man would not have been stopped there was if Morgan was dead- unlikely- or if he had been away from his post and the man had slipped by. Even so the situation needed to be carefully handled.
"You said something about things going on in my science division?" He repeated for the tapes benefit, although hopefully the man had not noticed that precaution. "I would offer you coffee but it appears my assistant is unavailable." He added, hoping that would draw some information from the young man.
