Hi everyone! I'm writing this from my phone at work, so bear with me a bit.

Anyway, it's great to see you all! I was in the game a bit before with Spidey from the PS4 game, but life took a bite out of me and I sorta vanished.

But I'm back now and life is GREAT! What's more, and better than even that, I bring Spidey with me as well, but this time I bring the OG Peter himself, Spider-Man from 616. He's seen and done just about everything imaginable, so this won't be too crazy for him.

He's still Peter though. A dork, friendly, sometimes a bit too over eager, and quippy to a fault. You'll love him. He'll also enjoy meeting all the other Spider-Men. He's had his own 'Spider-Verse' moment in the comics, so he'll be cool with it.

Hello and welcome! I'm Cogs and I have a couple kids, all from Marvel comics--

This is Jean Grey, but teenage time-displaced Jean Grey (TRN240) who was brought forward in time. She's figuring shit out and trying to avoid becoming the Jean Grey Tragedy that everyone's familiar with, starting with the damn fiery orange space bird. She is cautiously hopeful that being stuck here means she's outside of time and space and maybe, finally safe from the Phoenix. She's a telepath who constantly hears people's surface thoughts (going any deeper than that is a conscious choice), but oocly that is totally opt-in. She has maybe met Spider-Man? But her opinion of the Avengers is not the highest because of how they've treated her since being ripped out of the past, particularly the Unity Division that Peter was a part of.

Bobby Drake aka Iceman

cooljokes from 616. He's a charming dipshit. HIS teenage time displaced self (see above) outed him as gay (after being privately outed by Jean, whoops) and he's been dealing with that significant amount of lifelong repression. He specializes in bad jokes and trying to cheer people up. Also ice everything. He is staunchly in the "wants to go home" camp. Him and Spidey are buddies and teamed up in Iceman volume 3 after their dates were ruined, which was fun. He's also currently making heart eyes at the older version of Peter here.

Stephen Strange, Sorcerer Supreme

supremed also from 616. Just stopped fascist scientists from eliminating all magic in that dimension and is coincidentally here while it regrows. Which is okay with him, because he was in desperate need of a sabbatical because of what he had to do to stop them. But he's without his support mechanisms here (namely, prescription drugs) which is proving challenging. He's trying to help map this place out and find a way for people to leave if they want.

If it makes Jean feel any better, Peter totally left Unity relatively quickly when he realized it was reckless (who invites Deadpool onto a team?) But yea, the AvX was a trying time. He's definitely met Jean before, plenty of times, but not this time-displaced Jean that I know of, but also possibly? I never doubt Spidey's met someone in the comics!verse.

Hi Doc! You helped the world forget Peter and Spider-Man were the same person. Go you!

Yes! Teen Jean came in not long after AvX and had to deal with a lot of the fallout. The Avengers came and tried to force the teens to go back to their original timeline and Jean read their minds and learned a lot about their bad shit (particularly, Wanda's M-Day shenanigans) and lashed out at them. There's also a lot of sentiment on the Avengers that hold her accountable for the Phoenix shit which...she hasn't done. And Teen Jean has enough guilt over shit she hasn't done!

Most of my knowledge of the rest of the Marvel universe stem from crossover events and Spidey-related cross overs. Only because Marvel goes a bit nuts with their crossovers and it's particularly difficult for me to keep up sometimes! Lol.

But I did rather love that event and I think Peter could embody some of what's good about the Avengers and can hopefully change her mind a bit!

I can't keep up either! I've just been reading All New X-Men (which is the teenage time displaced series) and their related events, like the crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy for Trial of Jean Grey. There's another crossover with Ultimates and Miles that's fun, but yeah there's far too many titles and I just stick with the characters I'm really intrigued by. I tend to prefer limited release arcs and stories, like Sina Grace's Iceman (which inspired my Bobby, obv) and Dennis Hopeless' (teen) Jean Grey series.

Peter will remind her a lot of her Bobby and I think his strong values and optimism will garner a good amount of good faith.
