Sibling Chat
Who: William Stark and Lilyanna Lannister
When: A few days after Elia 'disappears'
Where: Lily's Room
Rating: PG
Status: Closed
A few days had passed since the death of Elia and William felt the weight of the realm on his shoulders. The investigation had gone poorly enough and now Elia's body had gone missing. They's spread rumors that she'd gone missing, to cover up her death, but William wasn't certain how long that facade would go on either. The tourney had been a mess given the number of important people missing - himself included. More than one person had inquired on his whereabouts as the lances crashed. He'd mumbled excuses about being on the King's business, and lately matched their lie by stating he'd been in charge of locating Elia, but none of the words sat well on his tongue.
He'd come in search of his sister. Lily had always felt as solid as the heart tree in his godswoods, a person he could lean on in times of desperation. But she would not judge him. She knew his deepest secrets; it was Lily he'd written to when the shame of Eva's death had haunted him in the nights. It was Lily he'd spoken too when the title of Regent had rested on his head. And it was Lily he would turn to now to easy the burden he was bearing for the king.
He rapped lightly on her door, hoping she was alone. Her room would be a dangerous place to speak, but was there anywhere in Summerhall that was safe? Perhaps a walk along the same dungeon passages where Elia's body had gone vanishing. The halls there were barren and empty, but the decor would not improve his mood. He tapped again a little louder and waited.
