She had always loved Summerhall. Perhaps for its proximity to Dorne, perhaps because it made such a splendid backdrop for any number of pageants. This particular garden had seen many smaller performances- the pretenses of courtly love, the joy she and Paegon had often shared, the growing dramas as the children grew. Elia and Aeny, and Jaehaerys. The children were grown now and their dramas would be those of kingdoms. Aeria sighed and trailed her hand through the waters of the fountain, and wondered how the time had passed. It seemed scarcely days ago that she and Paegon had come here, Jaers barely a squire and the girls still having more use for horses and dragons than for gowns and suitors.
Aeria's smile was nostalgic as she looked around, but she heard one of the doors open and turned to greet the visitor. Perhaps Jaehaerys had tired of his council early today...
