Who: Kaelyn, ? Where: Kings Landing, out shopping When: sometime after Tyrith's departure Rating: PG Status: OPEN
One of the servants had let slip that someone of House Lannister had departed the court, and apparently the queen's favorite player was accompanying them. It did not take a genius to guess that Tyrith had quietly returned... and by the look of it he'd practically had a new mistress picked out from the moment he landed. The thought of it made Kaelyn ill as she thought of Lily, away in the south with the children... Should she be warned? But how could she be warned- perhaps the queen had left word that she wished for her player to join the court for some of her idiotic entertainments... And perhaps pigs could fly.
Torn over whether she ought to write to Lily or hold the silence of the rest of the mewling, pathetic courtiers Kaelyn had come to no conclusion and had fled the castle and all its dark thoughts. She missed Brandon dreadfully, and even William. That last was some surprise, but it was the truth nonetheless. His presence, even silent and distant was better somehow than his absence.
Yet another reason to stop thinking. She had taken refuge in the busy streets of Kings Landing. Genna would need new clothes in a month or two, and Elixabet as well even if the girl didn't think so. Brandon would be wanting new tunics before his current ones burst at the seams... And there was the usual business of household shopping to be done. Easier to think about this than her children running unchecked among the court, picking up gods-knew-what kind of habits...
A familiar voice floated through the tumult and Kaelyn turned to greet whatever acquaintance was near.
