near the end of a another journey Who: Tyrith, Harper Where: Kings Landing, the Red Keep, the Lannister chambers When: the day the main court arrived at Summerhall Rating: PG Status: Open
He had returned from this journey with reluctance. Though Jaehaerys sent word he did not hold Tyrith responsible for the attack on Prince Myrwin he had still pressed Tybalt into the Kingsguard, which while not unexpected was a statement unto itself. He was not angry- his eldest had never been meant for lordship in Tyrith's mind- but the matter was a tangle he did not like.
If nothing else the assassins had planted a seed in the king's mind and it was best burrowed out as quickly as possible. So Tyrith was back, having done the king's bidding and the queen's as well, and he bore gifts to offer the new queen as well as his family. Jewels for Lily, gold-shot silk for Toria, a rare book on dragons for the king, a rarer-still book of Northron lore for Tyronne, and a white sword for Tybalt. For the king's betrothed, a beautiful silver mare from Dothraki stock.
There was of course one more gift to give, and that he was delivering first. The others were in Summerhall, but one of his children had remained behind. He had sent a page to bring his natural daughter, and her gifts were laid out on the table next to the maps he was now studying. Letters from her mother with a wrapped gift he hadn't looked at. His own for her was a gold necklace and matching bracelet made up of chains of lions, alternating with emeralds.
